Skip the Take Out, Try My Teriyaki Chicken Bowl

INGREDIENTS

1 lb organic chicken tenders
1 bowl @traderjoes stir fry veggies 
1 pack @traderjoes microwavable brown rice 
3-4 Tbs coconut aminos 
2 Tbs honey 
2 Tbs chopped green onions
1 Tbs sesame seeds 
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder 
2 tsp sesame oil 
Black pepper
Red chili flakes 
2-3 garlic cloves, chopped
1 tsp dried ginger *optional
Olive or avocado oil (I used @chosenfoods)
Sriracha (optional for spice)


DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine coconut aminos, honey, sesame seeds, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, ginger if using, sesame oil and red chili flakes in a bowl

  2. Heat wok or large skillet over medium heat with oil. Add in stir fry veggies and garlic and cook for 3-5 min then set aside in bowl

  3. Chop chicken tenders into cubes and season with additional black pepper and garlic powder.

  4. Add more oil to pan and cook chicken 4-5 mins or until done. Once it has cooked all the way through, add veggies back into skillet and cover in marinade

  5. Turn fire to low and allow sauce to cover vegetables and chicken, stirring frequently for 1-2 min

  6. Serve over brown rice with additional sesame seeds. Add more vegetables if you want, I pan-seared bok choy.
